summary

Based on the claim Progress for Humanity, Hyundai dived into developing and requesting a space that can incorporate all its brand values and display its ambitious plans for redefining the mobility landscape at a global scale.

Mobility redefined

The focus was on tech outside the classic automotive branch, focusing more on the overall approach for renewable energy solutions, robotics , inhub transportation and goods transportation and handling.

core idea

The New urban landscape

Providing an immersive platform, articulated in such a way that it relates to the past (previous stand ) and highlights continuity through the idea of an urban landscape , yet in a very minimal and abstract way.

The idea of an open and transparent space where products and content serve to inform visitors of the current state of development, seemed to be an offer to which visitors could relate and be conformable with.

To also emphasize the complexity of the work, a 3 act journey was developed to stimulate all the senses and create a long standing memory of the experience and the brand.

key moves

Prologue

the visitors are attracted by the large structural elements that set the boundary for the stand.

They enter into a room where large displays give the first taste of the future , where content unraveling the “waste to energy” strategy.

Exploration

main hall of the exhibition hosts large array of products with applications in various industries where mobility is key.

from warehouses to large transport terminals and daily services, visitors ca get a glimpse of the answers that aim at transforming mobility.

Epilogue

The epilogue is presented on a huge central LED display dominating the exhibit space. It broadcasts manifesto films—the distilled essence of Hyundai's philosophy, drive, and ambitions.

my role

As a senior member of the team, I joined from the initial phase of the design and concept development. I also developed and delivered the final design direction for the stand, in a process that implied many ideation rounds .

outcome

The stand recorded a great footfall on the 2200 sq that we build and was well received by both the owners and visitors. The outcome was also welcomed with international awards like Red Dot and Brand x among others.
