Electric Focus, Practical Solutions

Marking its first participation at BAUMA after five years, Volvo aimed to highlight the milestone by focusing on digitalization and sustainable solutions. To this end, the brand presented a new range of electric machinery alongside digital fleet solutions.

The objective was to strengthen Volvo’s position as a key industry leader while directly driving commercial growth through on-site deal closures handled by major local leaders. As the world’s largest global platform for construction machinery and technology, BAUMA provides a unique environment where strategic visibility and immediate business impact converge.

Machinery meets Minimalism

We took inspiration from the dynamic energy of a construction site to shape the architectural concept of the booth, creating an environment that would authentically showcase Volvo CE’s electric machine fleet and the central Solutions Bar.

Hospitality & EV Machinery

A multi-level brand experience combining indoor and outdoor activations, featuring a double-story hospitality area alongside electric machine showcases and interactive, hands-on competitions. The setup created an engaging environment that highlighted Volvo CE’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric experiences.

Solutions Bar

Complementing the physical exhibits, the experience showcased connected services and digital solutions for fleet management, offering clear insights into operational efficiency, performance monitoring, and data-driven decision-making—positioning Volvo CE as a comprehensive solution provider beyond machinery alone.

Outdoor Playground

Next to the fair hall, a playground was created mimicking a boxing ring , where small machinery could be put to test. Part of the experience was a 2 story building glass structure that allowed to welcome guests and entertain them with gaming simulators and beverages.

my role

After the pitch phase, I joined the project to redefine the Solutions Bar, hospitality spaces, and the stand’s overall visual and spatial identity.

outcome

Over seven days, the 1,619 sqm booth showcased 12 electric machines and more than 151 services and products at the Solutions Bar, creating a dynamic brand presence that attracted high visitor interest and interaction. With an investment of nearly 2 million euros, the activation reinforced Volvo CE’s leadership in electric construction solutions and delivered clear commercial impact, securing over 500 new machinery contracts during the event.
