Marking its return to BAUMA after five years, Volvo came back with a clear focus: digitalization and sustainable solutions, anchored by a new range of electric machinery and connected fleet services.

The objective was to reinforce Volvo's position as an industry leader while driving direct commercial impact through on-site deal closures led by major local partners. As the world's largest platform for construction machinery and technology, BAUMA offers a rare convergence of strategic visibility and immediate business opportunity.

Machinery meets Minimalism

We drew from the raw, functional aesthetic of a construction site to shape the booth's architectural concept — creating an environment that authentically reflected Volvo CE's electric fleet and placed the Solutions Bar at its center.

Hospitality & EV Machinery

A multi-level brand experience combining indoor and outdoor activations: a double-story hospitality area alongside electric machine showcases and hands-on competitions. The setup balanced engagement with substance, framing Volvo CE's commitment to innovation and sustainability through direct, participatory experiences.

Solutions Bar

Alongside the physical exhibits, connected services and digital fleet management solutions were brought to life — offering clear insights into operational efficiency, performance monitoring, and data-driven decision-making. This positioned Volvo CE as a comprehensive solution provider, not just a machinery brand.

Outdoor Playground

Adjacent to the main hall, an outdoor arena let visitors put small machinery through its paces in a competitive, hands-on format. A two-story glass structure anchored the space, doubling as a hospitality venue with gaming simulators and views over the action.

my role

After the pitch, I came in to sharpen the creative direction — redesigning the Solutions Bar experience, redefining the hospitality spaces, and establishing a cohesive visual and spatial identity for the entire stand

outcome

Over seven days, the 1,619 sqm booth showcased 12 electric machines and more than 151 services and products at the Solutions Bar. With nearly €2 million invested, the activation reinforced Volvo CE's leadership in electric construction solutions — and closed over 500 new machinery contracts on site.
